Diverse Learner Community Meeting March 6th @ 8 a.m., Rm 200
Gloria DeLapa, the supervisor of Friendship Programs for Best Buddies Illinois, will be talking about Best Buddies, an organization that helps form meaningful relationships between students with diverse needs and their peers. Our DL team is beginning the process of implementing this program at our school. Best Buddies helps foster genuine friendships by having outings or get togethers once a month.
In addition to the DL community meeting, there will be an informational meeting for students after school on March 6th.
If your child have an IEP, or 504 Plan, or you are interested in learning more about our school's special education programming, we invite you to participate in the Diverse Learner Community. We are a group of involved parents, teachers and administrators, who work collaboratively to build a productive and enriching educational environment for our children. Our goal is to provide parent support, discuss best practices, answer questions and have educational speakers and forums. We invite all parents, teachers and administrators to join our group as it involves us all.
If you have any questions/comments or want to be added to our email list for additional information, please email Lindsay Wickman: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our meeting schedule is subject to change:
Wednesday, March 6th @ 8 a.m.
Wednesday, April 9th @ 6 p.m.
Wednesday, May 1st @ 8 a.m.
